Marni Kamins, MA, MFT
I am a psychotherapist (Licensed MFT) in private practice in Los Angeles. I work with people on a wide range of issues related to self-exploration, life fulfillment, and the removal of unwanted patterns and blocks. I am in the business of helping you figure out who you are, where you want to be and how to let yourself get there.

I work with a blend of modalities including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, Jungian, Gestalt, narrative, inner child work and person-centered therapy. I have extensive experience with adolescents, young adults and adults who experience ADHD, eating and body image disorders, anxiety, depression, chronic frustration and creative blocks as well as substance abuse and food addiction. I have certification training in domestic violence and crisis response. Past training includes three years of Meisner training to better understand emotional connection to creative process under the tutelage of such masters as John Ruskin and Sir Anthony Hopkins. My BA is from Tufts University and my MA’s are from USM in Spiritual Psychology and Counseling Psychology. Training includes intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Maple Counseling Center,  a Certificate of expertise in a psychoanalytic perspective on eating disorders and chronic overeating.   Moreover, I have over ten years of 12-step experience and grace in working with personality disorders.

I have had success in treating depression, eating disorders, anxiety, relationship issues, creative blocks, self-esteem, deep grief and addiction. Treatment of Quarter-life crisis and assisting with the transition into adulthood is one of my specialties.
